WHY THE FED?
62
We don’t need private central banks! Who came up with this idea anyway? Probably a banker. It is a great scam, you print the money for the country and then you loan it back to them and charge interest! 6% as a matter of fact. So before the money is even in circulation we already owe an extra 6% to the FED. What a plan, it cost you nothing and they pay you to use their own money. Now whoever got this idea through must have been a real salesman or paid a big bribe. As a matter of fact the USA printed and distributed all our money debt free through the treasury department up until the FED was created on December 23, 1913 with the enactment of the Federal Reserve Act. This law was passed during the presidency of Woodrow Wilson. There are plenty of rumors and partially substantiated stories of complicity with the Wilson White house in the establishing of this system. There are some very good things that came out of this system but it seems to me that we the people should have been able to do the same as this “private” bank through the Treasury Dept. and not have to pay extra for it. What made them so omniscient in the banking business anyway?
THE POWER OF THE MONEY
What power does this entity have over the whole country and the Government? They literally control the money supply of the largest economy in the world. They get 6% of our national budget and treasuries and income, a staggering amount. We pay it each year to the FED, a private bank and for no reason. About ½ of the national debt is owed to the FED in interest due! Roughly about $7 trillion. Hell with that money we could pay back all the money that Congress stole from the Social Security trust fund! And still have 3 or 4 trillion left over.
TIME FOR A CHANGE
Isn’t it time we take care of our own bills and give the FED a pink slip? The rest of the world should also do the same and get rid of the huge central Banks that control the money supply. Pay your own way, remove the power from these parasites and free the worlds countries. They can’t do it any better than we can, they just say they can. Guess What? They’re Lying!
“I see in the near future a crisis approaching that unnerves me and causes me to tremble for the safety of my country. Corporations have enthroned an era of corruption in high places will follow and the money-power of the country will endeavor to prolong it’s reign by working upon the prejudices of the people until the wealth is in a few hands and the Republic is destroyed.”

Cool hub!
Excellent hub. Protesters need to target these institutions more.
Peter - This hub proves we are never too old to learn something new. I had no idea about this until I read your hub. This is an outrage in my opinion. Now, what would it take to get rid of this crazy practice? We eliminate the FED and save 6%, plus we tell them to go to hell for the 7 Trillion we supposedly owe them. Then the national debt is starting to look a little more manageable.
I would love to hear more about this and think every american should be aware this is going on.
Economics is not one of my strong subjects but I found it necessary to pay more attention to it. I think you are right about the FED but I would be hard put to articulate the reasons. Thanks for the information.
You always seem to do your research. Thanks for insightful hub.
Peter, I suggest you write a part 2 and even part 3 to this hub. Everyone needs to know and understand how this is working.
Hi Peter,
Great piece but I bet it makes a lot of people in DC and New York nervous.

Perhaps banks are actually God? The whole world is in thrall with them. As I write, the EU members are putting together packages to bail out Greece. But the money goes to the banks, not to Greek citizens, then the banks are left to decide how or whether they dole it out. It's madness, Peter, complete chaos. Bob
Great hub Peter, short sweet and to the point.
Hey Peter
WOW! Powerful hub. Thomas Jefferson fought with Alexander Hamilton over the creation of a central bank some 200 years ago. He was right then and we need a leader of his caliber now. This hub just points out the depth of corruption in American politics and business.
Keep up the good fight, maybe someone will listen

Perhaps some day we will have a President with enough "Huevos" to address this issue. It is a flipping outrage that we all know the many things that are causing our problems, yet nobody seems willing to tackle these specific problems and make changes. Seems like the only solution our leaders can ever think of is to increase taxes.
Peter, the question in my mind is would we just be replacing them with a new group of followers? We know we can't believe a damn thing they say. They promise to do things we all know are not even possible, such as changing the tax structure their first day in office. One candidate promised to build a double fence the entire length of the border, yet no one asked her where the money would come from or how long it would take. And we all know there are two sides to every fence.
Would it be all that bad to have some leaders who were not tainted by the good ole boy politics as usual group? I think not........
Peter - I would have neither the time nor the desire to be President. I am going to be writing a hub concerning the rampant corruption concerning some individuals among our elected representatives, yet nothing is done about it. We know the names, places, and offenses, but we just keep voting them back into office. We either don't care or we deserve what we get.
Peter
You did a great job of laying it out hard and fast. I've done some checking into how the bank thing is playing out down here in Florida . . . where it sort of all started. That bunch you are talking about are expanding their territory.
Peter,
Really, REALLY glad to see this Hub on here covering the subject so well!
I'd comment further, but everyone else has pretty well covered it. I agree with Poolman, Parts II and III would be very beneficial!
Great job!
Peter, I talked to my old Army Buddy up in Eagle River today, and it is snowing. This is going to be one heck of a shock to your system from Thailand to Alaska.
Yes! I am with you all the way about this. It is indeed time to give The Fed the pink slip. Well said!
Hi Peter,
It boggles my mind that the Feds are given permission to rob the people blind simply to line their own pockets. Evil and greedy if you ask me.
Voted up and awesome.
I didn't realize we were paying so much for our money! Very informative hub. You seem to know your stuff and it's great that you're sharing it with us! "There are none so blind as those who will not see." Heaven help us as I know this is only the tip of the iceberg! Voted up.
I can't talk now, Big Brother is watching.
Peter I live in Florida. I know Colonial Bank. I wanted to know what happened to my money. I did a little poking around. I am no economist, just a citizen who got ripped off. I wrote an article that never got published. I may have put it down around here somewhere. Can You Bank On It?

Amazing work! You are a home-grown, picked straight off the vine, American Hero we can all look up to! Can't wait to read all of your hubs!
